Biography
Rick Rucker, after hanging up his football cleats, started his real estate career at 19 with his first flip. He took down several houses with a partner, lost money and quickly realized he needed to expand his knowledge of real estate. He went on to attend Kent State University where he graduated cum laude with a BBA in marketing and accounting. From there, he landed his first job at a mortgage broker. He has weathered the test of time in the mortgage business since 2005, made it through several squeezes, has held all positions in the finance world (including underwriting) and has closed north of 6500+ transactions. In 2022 he opened a boutique mortgage firm, Equity Capital Mortgage Group, with a targeted focus on investors, people of color and women. In his spare time, he also spawned a career in music management/artist development and worked with every major record label in promotions. This includes working with multi-platinum musical artist from Akon to Bone Thugs In Harmony to 50 Cent and many more.
